Turkey Trot FAQs

How much does it cost to sign up?

Registration is $30 if you sign up by 11/13. On 11/14, the price increases to $34.

Where do I park?

There is parking behind the Saratoga Hilton Hotel, which will fill up early. There are many streets to park on around the Hotel, none of which will make for a long walk. Simply avoid no parking signs. There are also plenty of parking garages within walking distance- including one right at the hotel.

Note: Do not park across from Old Bryan Inn, where the sign says “do not park past this sign.”

What does the course look like?

See simplified sketch of course to the right, and print it out here.

Is there a bag or backpack policy?

Bags and backpacks are prohibited in the registration area on Wednesday night and Thursday morning as well as at the Start/Finish areas on race day. Spectators are asked to travel lightly as well. Those with diaper bags, purses and other items should note that their bags could be searched in the vicinity of the start and finish lines. Any unattended bags are subject to search and removal from the premises.

Is it safe and secure to register over the internet?

The Christopher Dailey Foundation has partnered with ARE Event Productions, a national leader in online registration technology. Their ZippyReg.com event registration website is safe, secure, and easy to use. Their system is fully PCI Compliant and does not save any of your credit card or payment account information. Your information is protected and also not shared with anyone outside of this Foundation.

What are the age requirements for registering for a particular event?

Participants under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian sign their Registration Waiver for this event.

Where can I park my car?

Although there is a lot of parking in the City, the availability decreases as participants arrive closer to race start. Streets to the East and West of Broadway have free on street parking and there are free parking garages. They are all within a short walking distance.

Are strollers or baby joggers allowed on the course?

This race permits strollers and baby joggers. We respectfully request that strollers and joggers line up towards the rear of participants at the start of the race.

Are dogs allowed on the course?

No, dogs are not allowed on the race course.

Can someone else pick up my bib and race packet for me?

Yes. Someone other than the registered runner may pick up the race packet on Wednesday evening from 4pm - 8pm and on Thursday morning 6:30-8am at the Saratoga Hilton Hotel. In order to avoid being delayed, please try to pick up your packet by 7:45am.

I won’t be able to participate; can I still pick up my t-shirt?

Yes you can. Please proceed to the registration room, find your name and ask for your T-Shirt.

On my registration, my name is misspelled, my age is wrong, I have moved, etc.

To process a Personal Data Change Request, please go to https://www.zippyreg.com/online_reg/reg_confirmation.php with your Registration Confirmation Code (received via email after your entry was completed). There will be a link “Request a Personal Data Change/Contact Us” which will link to a form to submit a change request.

Are there restrooms available?

Yes. There are restrooms at the Saratoga Hilton Hotel where registration and packet pick up take place.

Are there any COVID policies this year?

At this time we are not requiring masks inside the hotel. If you feel uncomfortable being unmasked inside to come collect your packet & shirt, please call Laura Rose (518-879-2371) sometime before Wednesday at noon who will arrange to bring it out to you. This can only be arranged for WEDNESDAY EVENING PACKET PICK UP BETWEEN 4-8PM. This option is not available on Thursday morning.
